Start with a free pilot on a sample of your data. To run your own system, the Organization plan is a monthly platform license plus implementation, quoted after a scoping call. We don’t charge per user or area.

## Free pilot

We bring in a sample of your data so your team can see the difference Restoration Scope makes.

Free. No commitment.

- We import your spreadsheets, survey forms, maps and photos from the tools you already use
- We sign an NDA first if you want one

Tools we import from: Kobo, ArcGIS Online, Airtable, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Excel, Postgres, AWS, BigQuery, ESRI, Google Cloud, Databricks, Azure, Earth Engine, QGIS.

We’re happy to extend the pilot until you feel you’re getting real value.

## New or small NGO?

We offer discounts to new and small NGOs. Ask us on your scoping call.

Trusted by more than 10 organizations.

## Is Restoration Scope right for you now?

Messy data is normal: every organization we work with has some. Answer two questions and we’ll suggest where to start.

### Who needs to trust your data next?

- **Donors and grant funders.** Show donors what their money did: Where the work happened, what changed and what it looks like on the ground, whenever a funder asks rather than once a year. [Donor reporting and impact portals](https://restorationscope.com/solutions/funders).
- **Carbon verifiers, investors or buyers.** Trace every claim to the field: Each plot, tree and measurement linked to who recorded it and when, in the shape your methodology or due diligence asks for. [Software for carbon projects](https://restorationscope.com/solutions/carbon).
- **Our project team.** See what needs attention this week: What was done, where and by whom, and whether you’re on track, while there’s still time to act. [Software for reforestation projects](https://restorationscope.com/solutions/reforestation).
- **Our team, across partner projects.** See every partner’s progress side by side: Partners’ data in one shape, so you can compare projects without chasing reports. [Software for multi-partner programmes](https://restorationscope.com/solutions/programmes).

### What would help most right now?

- **Start keeping useful records.** Start with a spreadsheet where every record says where, what happened, when, and what is true now. Free starter spreadsheets with those columns are on the way. [Read the four questions](https://restorationscope.com/blog/five-question-planting-data-audit).
- **Make our existing records useful.** Keep the field tools your team knows. If you use an AI assistant, our free audit skill checks your files and tells you what to fix first. [Get the free audit skill](https://restorationscope.com/blog/restoration-data-audit-skill).
- **Improve a system we already use.** Compare what else is out there first; one tool may be all you need. If you need records, maps and reports in one place, we show you on a sample of your data, free. [Compare the tools](https://restorationscope.com/blog/restoration-monitoring-tools).
- **Prepare for a deadline.** A report, a verification or a funding round? Tell us the date and what you need to show. On a scoping call we look at what is realistic before then. [Book a scoping call](https://cal.com/bernat/restoration-scope-initial-call).
- **Explore what comes next.** If your setup works for now, keep it. Our guides cover what to track as you grow, and we’re happy to talk when something changes. [Read our guides](https://restorationscope.com/blog).

### Not sure, or no budget yet?

We’re in this to support nature restoration. If a free call helps your project thrive, even with another tool, that’s a win. On the call we talk through your data questions and the basics of keeping useful records. [Book a free call](https://cal.com/bernat/restoration-scope-initial-call).

## What changes the price

### Distinct systems

Each operationally distinct system, such as a second programme with its own workflows, has its own license.

### Countries and projects that reuse a setup

A new country or project that runs the same workflows and fields reuses the setup, so it costs less than a new system.

### Portals on data you already have

A donor or investor portal built on data already in the platform costs less than a system of its own.

### How fast you want to build

More implementation time each month gets you there sooner. A steadier pace costs less each month.

## Your first weeks

Most teams are up and running in one week to one month. The pace depends on how quickly you send your data, whether you want an NDA first and how often we meet. Spend a full week with us and setup is done that week.

### Week 1

You bring your data and someone who can make decisions about it. We show you how it connects and where the gaps are, and field capture can start the same week.

### Weeks 2 to 4

Your team uses it on real work. We improve what doesn’t fit, add data quality checks and set up the next workflow.

### After the first month

Your team uses it every day, and we move on to the next part of your operation that matters most to you.

## Common questions

### How much does Restoration Scope cost?

There’s no public price list: we quote each organization after a scoping call. You pay a monthly platform license, plus implementation in four-week packages while we shape the platform around your project. The price depends on how many distinct systems you run and how fast you want to build, not on users or hectares.

### What does the monthly license include?

The license includes hosting for one active system, fixes when something breaks, very small changes such as a new field or a renamed label, and written support. New features, data sources, workflows and analysis are implementation, which we quote in four-week packages.

### Why is there a monthly fee if you build the system for us?

Because keeping software running is ongoing work. The license pays for hosting, fixes and support for as long as you use the platform. Implementation pays for shaping it around your project, in four-week packages, at the pace you choose.

### Can we try it before we pay?

Yes. Every one of our partnerships began as a free pilot: we bring in a sample of your data, under an NDA if you want one, so your team can see the difference Restoration Scope makes. Nature grows slowly and a good project runs for decades, so we’re happy to extend the pilot until you feel you’re getting real value.

### Why not use a free tool or a spreadsheet?

Free tools like Kobo are great for collecting data, and spreadsheets for holding it, but neither knows your project: which plot, farmer or planting each record belongs to. Restoration Scope ties every record, photo and boundary to its place on the map, so mistakes such as a tree plotted in the ocean show up early and every report comes from the same numbers. Keep the tools you like: we import your Kobo forms and spreadsheets, so your field team doesn’t have to change how it works.

### Why not build it in-house?

You can, if software is what sets your project apart and you can fund a developer team for years. Otherwise, Restoration Scope gives you a working platform from day one, with hosting, fixes and support included in the license. [Read the full comparison](https://restorationscope.com/blog/in-house-software-development-team).

### Can we pay for it from a grant?

Yes. We quote after a scoping call, so you can put a real number in your grant proposal.

### Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

Yes, for new and small NGOs. Ask on your scoping call and we include the discount in your quote. If you have no budget, talk to us anyway: we’ll find a way to help you, no matter what.

### How long does it take to get started?

Most teams are up and running in one week to one month, and field capture can start in the first week. We need your data, in whatever shape it’s in, and one person who knows your work and can make decisions about it. The pace depends on how quickly you send your data, whether you want an NDA first and how often we meet.

### Who owns our data, and can we take it with us?

You own it. You can download any table as a CSV file, and the boundaries you’ve mapped as GeoJSON or KML files, whenever you want.

### Does the price go up as we add projects or countries?

Not because you add users or hectares. A new country or project that reuses your setup costs less than a new system, and a second program with its own workflows has its own license.

### Do you charge per user?

No. The license covers a system, not seats, so your whole team can use it.

### Do you charge per hectare?

No. The license covers a system, not land, so the price doesn’t grow as you plant or monitor more hectares.
