# Share your project with a funder or donor

Last updated: 2026-10-27

> Give a funder view-only access to your app with an invite link or their email, and what you can't share yet.

To share your project with a funder, invite them to your app as a viewer. They see your maps and records, and where your app has comments, they can comment on the map from a computer. They can't edit records.

Only admins can invite people.

## Send a viewer invite link

1. Click your app's logo in the top-left corner, then click **Invite QR**.

2. Click the **Viewer** tab. The window opens on **Editor**, so check that **Viewer** is selected.

3. Click **Copy link** and send the link to your funder by email or message.

The funder opens the link, signs in with Google or Microsoft (see [Sign in to your app and sign out](https://restorationscope.com/docs/sign-in)), and joins your app as a viewer. If they were already added by email as an editor or admin, they keep that role: a viewer link never lowers it.

Some apps don't accept invite links. In those, ask us how to add your funder.

The link works for 15 days, and anyone who has it can join. Send it only to the people you mean to invite. More in [Invite people with a link or QR code](https://restorationscope.com/docs/invite-link).

## Or add the funder's email

If you know the email address your funder signs in with, add it with the **Viewer** role. No link gets passed around this way. See [Add users and set their roles](https://restorationscope.com/docs/add-users).

## A public app for everyone

We can make an app public, so anyone with its address sees it without signing in. You can't switch this on yourself: ask us. Comments are off in a public app.

## What you can't share yet

- A map on your website: there is no embed code.
- A public link to one map or record: a link to a page of your app asks the funder to sign in. A public page or portal, for example for your donors, exists only where we set one up for your app: ask us.
- A PDF report: the app doesn't make one. To send boundaries, download them as .geojson or .kml: see [Download polygons from the map](https://restorationscope.com/docs/download-polygons).
